HOW TO CANCEL AN AUTO (CAR OR BIKE) INSURANCE CLAIM
Canceling a Claim
There are many reasons why an insured may wish
to cancel a claim he filed with his insurance company.
the most basic reasons include the cost of repairs being an amount close to the deductible amount; not wanting to pay a large amount ; or not wanting your insurance amt or rate to increase. Regardless of the reason, you are usually permitted to with draw claims, as long as payment has not been made on the claim. Even if a check has done, so long as the check not been cashed, the claim can typically be withdrawn. Generally, the only time a claim cannot be withdrawn is when the insured is the party at fault in accident.

Record of Canceled Claim
Many people assume that when a claim is withdrawn, any
record of the claim is with drawn as well. That is not right. A record of the
claim will remain on the insured's driving records. However, since the
record will reflect a pay of 0, it is unlikely that the record will
negatively affect policy or cost of premiums .
